Day1
Choshi Fishing Port, etc.
Your day begins at Choshi Fishing Port, Japan's largest gull wintering site. Here, amongst thousands of wintering gulls, you'll observe an impressive array of species including Black-legged Kittiwake, Vega Gull and Slaty-backed Gull. The port's rich marine environment also attracts specialities such as Pelagic Cormorant and the striking Harlequin Duck. Savour an authentic seafood lunch sourced directly from the morning's catch.
The afternoon takes you to the intimate setting of Natsume Weir, where thousands of waterfowl gather in surprising density. Here, you'll search for the stunning Baikal Teal and the distinctive black-and-white Smew amongst the assembled multitudes. The surrounding farmland offers excellent raptor-watching opportunities.
The grand finale unfolds at Lake Inba, where you'll witness one of Japan's most remarkable natural spectacles - over 10,000 Baikal Teal taking wing at dusk. This breathtaking display often accompanies sightings of Eastern Marsh Harrier and Short-eared Owl in the golden hour light.

Begin your day of discovery at the magnificent Watarase Wetland, departing at 7:30. This expansive mosaic of wetlands and woodlands hosts an impressive array of specialities, including the endemic Green Pheasant, majestic Oriental White Stork and the elusive Long-eared Owl.
By midday, we reach the tranquil Igashira Park, where ancient woodland provides refuge for numerous East Asian treasures. Here, observe endemic species such as the Japanese Green Woodpecker and Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker at close range. The park's peaceful waters attract the stunning Falcated Duck, whilst its mature trees harbour the charismatic Varied Tit and jewel-like Daurian Redstart.

Our third day focuses on Gunma Prefecture's hidden gems, starting with Mine Park, a pristine woodland sanctuary. Here we search for the endemic Japanese Green Woodpecker and the secretive Red-flanked Bluetail. Lucky observers might glimpse the stunning Yellow-throated Bunting or the endemic Japanese Accentor.
Omuro Park offers a chance to spot one of East Asia's most elegant winter visitors - the Japanese Waxwing. Though their presence varies yearly, these striking birds are a highly prized sight.
We conclude along the Tone River, scanning for raptors including Eastern Buzzard and Hen Harrier, alongside the endemic Japanese Wagtail. As always, we maintain flexibility to pursue exceptional birding opportunities as they arise.

En route to the airport, we visit the urban oasis of Kasai Rinkai Park along Tokyo Bay. Despite its metropolitan setting, this remarkable site hosts several endangered species, including Black-faced Spoonbill and Saunders's Gull, alongside secretive rails and thrushes.
Tour concludes at Narita Airport at 17:00.
