Koji TAGI
Studied Wildlife Management in Australia and had worked in nature conservation field over 20 years. Over 40 years birding experience in more than 25 countries in the world. Over 5 years experiences as a birding guide for both Japanese and non-Japanese. Very knowledgeable about Japanese birds and speaks English fluently. Contributed lots to various field guide books.
He started birdwatching at the age of 14, when his father took him out to a pond in Hyogo Prefecture and he saw a flock of ducks, which attracted him to their beauty. He became fascinated by birdwatching overseas. To date, he has observed more than 2,500 bird species in about 25 countries.
He dreams establishing sustainable birding tourism in Japan for both nature conservation and local economy.

Studied Behavioural Ecology in Australia, New Zealand and New Caldedonia about 10 years. After Ph.d course, worked at NGO for bird conservation.
