Nikko Birding

Embark on a captivating birdwatching adventure in the heart of Japan's pristine wilderness. Join us for a day-long exploration of Nikko Senjogahara, a high-altitude moor renowned for its rich biodiversity. As we traverse through ancient Mizunara (oak) forests, we'll be on the lookout for gorgeous Narcissus Flycatchers and elusive Siberian Blue Robins. Later, against the stunning backdrop of Mount Nantai, we’ll listen to the melodious songs of Chestnut-eared Buntings and Siberian Stone Chats.
In autumn, the landscape transforms into a vibrant tapestry of golds and reds. Here, we’ll search for flocks of Bramblings and Siskins, as well as Eye-browed and Dusky Thrushes.
Our intimate tours are limited to just six participants, ensuring a personalized experience and ample opportunities for photography. All transportation, from your accommodation to the train station, is included. Whether you're a seasoned birder or simply looking for a unique nature experience, this tour offers a memorable journey into the heart of Japan's avian world.
